Our Focused Roles
Axciea is a company with a clear focus on Project Controls, possessing extensive experience in leading results-driven teams and a deep understanding of the unique talent combination required to resolve complex project challenges. We firmly believe that effective leadership is the key factor in achieving success.
While there are many capable leaders in the market, finding the right one for your organization requires looking beyond functional fit. At Axciea, we adopt a holistic approach to candidate evaluation, prioritizing leadership qualities and potential for success over just experience when identifying the best fit for your organization. Projects are increasingly complex with greater demands on project management and project controls. Qualified resources are often limited as projects grow in size and complexity. The stakes are high in cost and schedule performance on mega projects around the globe.
Roles we focus on:
Project Controls Manager
Project controls has been called the dashboard for project management and the navigation system for cost and schedule. The potential for the success of a construction project has been attributed in large part to the quality of the project controls system and staff assigned who are referred to as the “eyes and ears of management”. At the top of the project controls organization is the project controls manager, leader of the various disciplines within the project controls and services. The core traditional services of project controls include estimating, cost control and planning & scheduling. Some companies expand this to include risk management and other services such as information management and project administration in a project services group.
Scheduler
The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, updating and coordinating project schedules. Creates resource usage model and predictions. Works closely with team leaders to build, evaluate and optimize project schedules. The Project Scheduler will participate in a cross functional team environment in development and oversight of development- and construction related project schedules. As a highly motivated individual with very good organization, technical, and communication skills, you will work with a team of professionals to deliver superior service. The “ideal” candidate will come from a industry related background and bring with them project management and technical expertise that can be built upon.
Cost Engineer
The Cost Engineer is responsible for planning, estimating, and controlling the cost of a project. This includes developing cost estimates for the project, monitoring project spending, and identifying and mitigating cost overruns. They also work with project managers and other team members to develop and implement cost-saving measures. Additionally, cost engineers may be involved in the procurement process, helping to select and manage vendors and suppliers. They also provide cost forecasting and analysis to support project decision making.
Project Controls Analysist
The Project Controls Analyst (PCA) will assist project and program management efforts with the development and analysis of project budget, cost, schedule and delivery status. The PCA will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting on financial information for projects and programs of varying size and complexity. The PCA will provide key support to project and program management efforts monitoring work flow, coordinating and tracking cost and schedule data and identifying key project delivery risks and issues.
Estimator
The Construction Estimator is responsible for determining the cost of a construction project by analyzing blueprints, plans, and other project documents. They also conduct on-site visits to gather information about the project, and research materials and labor costs. The construction estimator will use this information to create a detailed estimate of the project cost, which will be used by the construction company to bid on the project and determine the price at which to offer their services. Additionally, a construction estimator may also be involved in ongoing cost management during the construction process, monitoring actual costs against the estimate and helping to identify and mitigate any cost overruns.
